Fall Family Weekend
Join the tradition
All family members of LSU students are invited to campus for a weekend of activities, programs, and the chance to see the LSU Tigers take on the McNeese State University Cowboys under the lights of Tiger Stadium. Family Weekend allows parents and families to:
- Spend valuable time with your Tiger
- Explore campus, your Tiger's "home away from home"
- Experience LSU traditions

Registration
Registration for LSU Family Weekend will open in late summer 2026. Stay tuned for more details about official registration dates and Family Weekend package prices. Registration will be required to participate in Family Weekend activities.
Members of the LSU Family Association will have access to priority registration for Family Weekend, which means they will have the opportunity to register one week early before registration opens to the public. The 2025 Schedule of Events below is a reference to what type of events your family can typically expect for Family Weekend. More details about the LSU Family Weekend 2026 schedule will be posted as they become available.
Family Weekend Check-In
3–6 p.m.
2nd Floor, Barnes & Noble at LSU Bookstore
Beat the check-in rush and pick up your Family Weekend materials early! At check-in, registered participants will receive access badges, souvenirs, and any pre-ordered t-shirts. Only one person per group needs to check in to collect materials for all pre-registered family members, and students may check in on behalf of their families.
Family Weekend Check-In

Registered participants can stop by anytime during the day to pick up Family Weekend materials, including access badges, souvenirs, and any pre-ordered t-shirts, before attending their first event. Only one person per group needs to check in to collect materials for all pre-registered family members, and students may check in on behalf of their families.
Tigers Tackle Hunger: Family Weekend Service Project
10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–3 p.m.

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference! In partnership with LSU Campus Life, we’re hosting a meal-packing event that’s perfect for family members of all ages, from 1 to 99, and all abilities. Our goal is to have 450 enthusiastic family members help us pack 100,000 meals for those in need. Families can register for one of our two time slots on Friday, September 19: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. or 1–3 p.m. Registrants must arrive on time and stay for the full time slot. We’ll provide everything you need, from stylish hairnets to music that will keep the energy high as you pack meals with your loved ones. The meals you prepare will be distributed to our community partners, including the LSU Food Pantry, LSU Global Community Center, Second Harvest Food Bank (Lafayette), and Second Harvest Food Bank (New Orleans).
We invite all Tiger families to join us in our effort to impact our community by sponsoring meals! The cost of each meal is $.30 making our fundraising goal $30,000 for 100,000 meals packed. Your donation goes directly to these efforts and supports the meal packing event.
UREC Leisure River Access
12–9 p.m.
UREC Leisure River
Come lounge in UREC's beautiful leisure river in the shape of LSU while you're on campus for Family Weekend! Your LSU student must present their Tiger Card. Family members can join their student by purchasing a $5 UREC guest pass. Family Association members can obtain up to two complimentary guest passes by showing their Family Association membership card at the main desk.
Roaring Together: A Family Guide to the First-Gen Journey
2–3:30 p.m.
International Room, 303 LSU Student Union
This presentation is all about helping families feel confident and connected as you support your student’s LSU journey. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be “first-generation,” highlight resources and opportunities available at LSU, and share meaningful ways to celebrate and support your Tiger along the road to graduation. Come ready to connect, ask questions, and build community with other families, because when they roar, you roar too.

Hill Memorial Library
Step inside Hill Memorial Library and celebrate a century of LSU history! Explore
Centennial displays created by undergraduate researchers as part of this year’s LSU
Libraries Special Collections Summer Projects and join us for student-led gallery
talks to learn more about their discoveries. Be sure to stick around for a special
tour offering a behind-the-scenes look at Hill Memorial Library and find out what's
so "special" about Special Collections.
College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) Carnival

CHSE students and their families are invited to stop by to enjoy SNEAUX-cones, snacks, games, and more!
Free Family 2-Hour Bike Rentals
2–8 p.m.
UREC (enter via the East Entrance to access the Outdoor Center)
Come with your Tiger to the UREC Outdoor Center and receive a free 2-hour beach cruiser bike rental for your family. Student must present their Tiger Card. Bike availability and sizes are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bengal Block Party
5:30–8:30 p.m.

*Must be registered for the Purple or Gold Package in order to attend.
Join us for our signature event to officially kick off Family Weekend! There will be games, music, and plenty of fun for the whole family. Food trucks will be available to purchase snacks on your own. Registrants can also bring in outside food or beverages. No food is included in the cost of your registration.
Performances by the Tiger Girls, LSU Cheerleaders, and featured guest speakers will begin at 6 p.m. in front of the Memorial Tower.
Our Bengal Block Party will take place outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
Family Association Game Night*

8–10 p.m.
Royal Cotillion Ballroom, LSU Student Union
Family Association members are invited to join us for a night of friendly competition, prizes, and connection! From 8–9 p.m., families can participate in minute-to-win-it style games with other members from their Regional Family Network. Then from 9–10 p.m., we’ll keep the fun going with several rounds of Bingo and great prizes.
No pre-registration is required – just show up ready to play and meet fellow LSU families!

Registered participants can visit the second floor of the Barnes & Noble at LSU Bookstore to pick up your Family Weekend materials, including access badges, souvenirs , and t-shirts (if you pre-ordered them) prior to the Tailgate. Tailgating is an LSU Tradition! Join us for the biggest tailgate on the Parade Ground with food, live music from Beaucoup Boogie, special appearances, inflatables, a photo booth, face painting, cornhole tournament, and more! Look for our white tents, Family Weekend flags, and balloons. Even if you are not attending the football game, you are welcome to join the fun and attend the tailgate as long as you are pre-registered for the purple or gold package. Click here to view the menu.

Family Weekend Cornhole Tournament
2 p.m.
LSU Parade Ground
Only families registered for the Family Weekend Tailgate are eligible to participate in the Cornhole Tournament. Teams consist of two people.
On-site registration for the Family Weekend Cornhole Tournament will be at the Cornhole Tent on the LSU Parade Ground starting at 2 p.m. View the Tailgate Map here. The tournament will be limited to the first 24 teams for a single elimination bracket and begin at 2:30 p.m.. Matches will be determined by a blind draw. Each match cannot exceed 20 minutes.
Free play on cornhole boards will be available prior to the tournament beginning and as boards become open!
PMAC Fan Zone
1:45–5:45 p.m.
Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC)
The PMAC will be open to the public with access to restrooms and is a great place for fans to take a break from the heat. The Tiger Band will perform in the PMAC after the Victory Hill Parade. This event is sponsored by Bud Light.

Tiger Stadium Tours
Tours begin every hour from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. (last tour departs at 4 p.m.)
Tours begin at the Bill Lawton Room – Located the Northwest Corner of Tiger Stadium
at the Corner of North Stadium Drive and West Stadium Drive, across from the LSU SportShop and Mike’s Habitat.
Don’t leave Family Weekend without going behind the scenes at the legendary Tiger Stadium – home of the Fighting Tigers and one of the most iconic venues in college football. On this guided 45-minute tour, you’ll visit:

- You must register and pay for all family members attending Family Weekend signature events, including your LSU student.
- There is no charge for children ages 5 and under to attend Family Weekend, but they must be listed on your registration form, so they will have a pass and lanyard to access the events.
- Only registered family members will be allowed access to Family Weekend signature events.
- Your Family Weekend registration fee does not include football tickets, as those must be purchased separately after you complete your Family Weekend registration. For more information about ticket prices and policies, please visit our Football Tickets page.
- All payments for LSU Family Weekend are made using a credit card on the registration form. There is a 3% processing fee for all transactions.

Arrival, Parking, & Other
If you want to take full advantage of the opportunities available throughout the weekend, we encourage you to arrive by Friday morning (October 2). We will host educational sessions, meet-and-greets, and more throughout Friday. The tailgate and football game will be held on Saturday, and the weekend will culminate with a Jazz Brunch on Sunday. More details about the Family Weekend 2026 schedule will be posted on our schedule of events as they become available.
