Safety Rules

Safety goes beyond a set of information and rules to memorize. Safety is a culture. You live it by learning it, and learn it by living it ... so that you and others can go on living. SAFETY is very important!

General Safety Rules

• Appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, chemical or thermal protection gloves, masks, lab robes, etc. must be worn at all times as required by the work that you do.
• No shorts or excessively loose clothing should be worn.
  
• All loose jewelry must be removed or secured.
  
• Long hair must be secured (Pony Tail, etc.)
  
• No open toed shoes (Sandals, Flip Flops, etc.)
  
• No food or drinks in the MMTEF and/or laboratories.
  
• Never remove MMTEF and/or laboratory property without permission.
  
• Do not operate equipment and instruments without permission from MMTEF and/or Laboratory management.
  
• Report any questions, problems, or doubts about equipment, infrastructure and procedures to Mark Brennan.
  
• Keep work areas clean at all times (clean up after yourselves before you leave your work area).
  
• Do not work alone in the MMTEF and/or laboratories.
