Strengths for Students
The CliftonStrengths for Students report gives students the confidence, clarity, empowerment and self-awareness they need to succeed in school and in life.
LSU began incorporating CliftonStrengths into the first-year student experience in Fall 2024. During Welcome Week, incoming students are offered the CliftonStrengths assessment as part of the small-group curriculum, giving Tigers an early opportunity to discover and begin exploring their Top 5 themes.
But taking the assessment is only the beginning.
As LSU continues building a strengths-based campus, students have opportunities to move from discovering their strengths to understanding, developing, and applying them throughout their college experience.

For LSU students who have not yet completed CliftonStrengths.

Academics
Understand how you naturally learn, organize information, solve problems, and communicate ideas. Use that awareness to approach coursework, challenging assignments, and new learning experiences with greater intention.
Leadership
Recognize your natural leadership style and understand how you contribute to groups and organizations. Apply your strengths through student organizations, campus programs, service, and other leadership experiences.
Career Preparation
Build language for communicating what you do best and how your strengths show up in your experiences. Carry that self-awareness into internships, interviews, and careers with organizations that use strengths to support leadership, teamwork, and performance.
Teams & Relationships
Understand how your talents influence the way you communicate, collaborate, and connect with others. Use your strengths to navigate teamwork, build relationships, and recognize what others bring to a group.
