Chad Sabadie is the Manship School's Professional-in-Residence in Sports Broadcasting, teaching sports communication and reporting courses and leading special projects, including the Manship School Sports Summit and The Olympics Project.

Sabadie joined the Manship School in 2023 after nearly 20 years working in local news across southeast Louisiana, most recently as a morning news anchor for WDSU in New Orleans from 2021-2023. Sabadie has earned numerous honors, including a Suncoast Emmy for coverage of Hurricane Ida and awards from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters and New Orleans Press Club. Sabadie started teaching as a Manship School adjunct instructor in 2016.

A proud Manship School alum, Sabadie earned his bachelor's degree in mass communication from LSU in 2003, working for LSU's Tiger TV, and then completed his master's degree in journalism from USC's Annenberg School in Los Angeles in 2005.

Sabadie became the sports director at WABG in Greenville, Mississippi, then made his move to WBRZ - Channel 2 in Baton Rouge for five years as a sports anchor before spending three years at WVUE - FOX 8 in New Orleans. Working in south Louisiana, Chad covered multiple Super Bowls, Saints and LSU games, College Football National Championship games, and the College World Series among countless other sporting events, including the Saints' Super Bowl victory in Miami in 2010.

In 2015, the Press Club of New Orleans honored Sabadie with its Best Sportscast Award. He spent a summer during graduate school, working for Sky Sports in London, England and also interned at the NFL Network in Culver City, California. After a solid decade in sports broadcasting, Sabadie made the transition to morning news anchor at NBC Local 33 in Baton Rouge in 2015 before moving to the FOX 44 evening anchor desk from 2017-2021. 

Sabadie remains connected to multiple charity organizations in Baton Rouge, including Karnival Krewe de Louisiane, where he serves on the Board of Directors. Sabadie attended Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell and was a part of two baseball state championship-winning teams in 1997 and 1998. Sabadie and his wife Brooke have three children, Ellis Cade, 10, Brynn, 8, and Carsyn, 5.
