LSU Mechanical Engineering Professor Seeks to Better Understand Fuel Droplet Dynamics in Propulsion Systems

LSU Mechanical Engineering Professor Researching 3D Printing of Bridge Structures Via Robotic SystemsPage Title

July 1, 2024 BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU Mechanical Engineering Associate Professor Genevieve Palardy recently received funding for her research on "free-standing polymer composites for robotic-driven bridge construction." The $30,000 grant was awarded by the Louisiana Transportation Research Center. LSU ME Assistant Professor Corina Barbalata is working with Palardy on the project.

LSU Electrical, Computer Engineering Professor Researches Hybrid Circuit Breaker

June 24, 2024 BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Shahab Mehraeen is working on a bipolar hybrid direct current circuit breaker (DCCB) that generates a current zero crossing (i.e., point at which there is no voltage present) that reverses and re-routes the current, causing current decay with minimal arc.
