Research Interests
The overarching theme of Dr. Snow’s research group could be labeled as, ‘photochemistry in environmental systems’. One of the group’s aims is to approach the practical challenge of developing low-cost, sustainable, and robust water treatment systems by investigating the underlying science of the technologies. Three particular focus areas are prominent the group currently: 1) overcoming challenges to using photocatalysts for water treatment, 2) applying UVC LEDs for innovative advanced oxidation processes, and 3) developing Point of Use disinfection devices for decentralized water and wastewater treatment.
