Biography

J. Brenton Stewart is an Associate Professor in the School of Information Studies at Louisiana State University. Dr. Stewart completed his PhD in Library & Information Studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research is focused on everyday information needs, behaviors, and use with an emphasis on digital and institutional cultures, social media, underrepresented populations and the intersections thereof.

Research Areas

Dr. Stewart’s research embraces a community informatics approach. His work centers underserved populations and their use of information and communication technologies across everyday life information seeking.
