In the 2022-23 school year alone, LSU students recorded 88,485 hours of service with an estimated economic impact of more than $2.4 million.
Student volunteers gain valuable leadership experience as they focus their efforts on real needs identified by Baton Rouge residents and organizations from all walks of life.
Spring Greening Day is an annual half-day service project to beautify and green the LSU campus. On April 25, 2024, students planted natives and perennials in front of the Greek Amphitheater.
Geaux Big Baton Rouge — a fun, inclusive, and collaborative celebration of service — is LSU's largest single day of student contributions to the Greater Baton Rouge community. For this year's event, held Saturday, April 13, students from across campus came out to help out however they could.
